Google Favouring New, Highly User Friendly Sites in Search Results

Earlier this week Google’s Head of Webspam Matt Cutts outlined why old, out of date websites, which have enjoyed high rankings in Search Engines in the past may now be beginning to lose their positions.

In the past, Search Engines have always tended to favour sites that have been established for a long period of time, i.e. if your website domain name was registered 15 years ago, Google would favour it over a domain that was registered 2 years ago.

Mobile Ready Websites Just Got All The More Important

In October, Google’s Head of Webspam Matt Cutts gave an eye opening key note speech at an annual SEO Conference held in Las Vegas.

Among a number of potential Google updates Cutts spoke in length about Smartphones and their continued importance from both a consumer and business perspective., "If your website looks bad in mobile, now is the time to fix that."

New Industrial Website Design for Direct Air

At the beginning of 2013 our long standing customer Direct Air & Pipeworkcame to us for a new, bespoke website design. As with many older sites over time it had begun to look cluttered and hard to navigate so whilst still functional a design overhaul was on the cards.  

The brief was to create an eye catching layout to reflect the brands image whilst maintaining important functionality and SEO aspects throughout. Working closely with Direct Air the site was designed, built and made live within one month to co-inside with a strict time frame, speedy work!
